In 2017, Socca Australia's Managing Director, Jarrod Galbraith-Marten, founded Mosaic Sports Club with the mission of creating a supportive environment for migrants and new arrivals to Australia. Through its commitment to this vision, the club has grown successfully, now fielding over 30 teams competing in both football and futsal across New South Wales. Staying true to its core values, Mosaic Sports Club continues to leverage the power of sport to foster social inclusion, helping refugees and asylum seekers rebuild their lives, forge lasting connections, integrate into Australian society, and develop a strong sense of belonging in their new home.
Building on this foundation, in 2024 Socca Australia was established. This was in response to the rapid growth of the sport, from grassroots to elite competition. Socca Australia offers the pinnacle of small-sided football in the country. With a focus on expanding the sport nationwide, Socca Australia is working to establish leagues that are accessible to communities across the nation. The organisation also aims to provides pathways for players to represent Australia on the international stage, offering them opportunities to compete in global competitions and fulfill their dreams of wearing the Green and Gold.

In November 2024, Socca Australia debuted at the Socca World Cup, marking a significant milestone in the country's engagement with this traditional sport. The tournament took place in Muscat, Oman, from November 29 to December 7, 2024. The Australian team, known as the Sixaroos, participated in Group F alongside teams from Latvia, Peru, Mexico, and Albania.
The establishment of Socca Australia reflects a growing interest in promoting and developing the sport within the country. The organisation aims to foster the growth of s6-a-side soccer, providing opportunities for players to engage in competitive play and representing Australia on the international stage.
